Software Sector Leads Chicago Contingent of Inc. 5000

Software companies accounted for 22.6% of Chicago's 38595% 3 year growth reported in the Inc5000 list released yesterday. IT services placed a distant second with 10.6% growth reported.
62% of the growth in Chicago software on the list was reported by one company, #51 overall Max Digital which develops a digital optimization software platform for retail automotive dealers.
Max Digital also lead the Windy City overall, accounting for 14% of the City's growth total. #107 Insureon (9%), #188 Paramount Lodging Advisors (9%), #200 Protein Bar (6%), and #366 Restaurantware (6%) rounded out the top 5 for the city.
Chicago's software growth outpaced the rest of the Inc. 5000 field by 15.539% Only 7.065% of the total came from software companies with Chicago removed from the equation.
While significantly leading in the software sector, the City That Works trailed the rest of the country in 17/25 sectors-- with 0% of the 38595% in Government Services, Energy, Travel & Hospitatility, Engineering, Media, Environmental Services sectors and only 2.54% coming from Health v the field's 9.48% and 6.125% v 11.948% in Consumer Products and Services.
